Cycling power analysis, without the subscription
Sync your rides from Strava or upload GPX files, and Relic builds the numbers serious riders pay for: a power-duration curve, Critical Power and W′, an FTP estimate and training load for every ride. Free.
Power-duration curve
Your all-time best mean power for every duration from a sprint to hours, plotted as one curve. It shows where you're strong and which durations haven't been tested.
Critical Power, W′ and Relic mFTP
Relic fits a Critical Power model to your best efforts, giving you CP (what you can hold) and W′ (your anaerobic reserve above it). Relic mFTP is estimated from that model (or from 95% of your best 20 minutes until the model is solid), so you don't need to do a test. It sits next to your device's FTP so you can compare.
Load for every ride
Normalized Power, Intensity Factor, Variability Index, work in kJ and Training Stress Score for each ride, plus daily and weekly stress over the year. Rides are classified as recovery, endurance, tempo, threshold, VO₂ or race.
Durability and fueling
- Power fade: when your power dropped against your early-ride baseline.
- Pw:HR decoupling: how far heart rate drifts against power on long rides.
- Fueling protocol: carbohydrate, fluid and sodium targets kept as three separate channels. Sodium guidance comes only from what you declare, such as a sweat test, never guessed from watts.

Questions
Critical Power (CP) is the highest power you can sustain for a long time without steadily accumulating fatigue. W′ (W-prime) is the finite amount of work you can do above CP before you have to back off. Relic fits both from your own best efforts.
Relic mFTP comes from your Critical Power model once that model is well supported by your efforts. Until then it falls back to the classic 95% of your best 20-minute power. Either way it needs at least a 20-minute best on record, and it updates as you set new bests.
For the power curve, CP and mFTP, yes. Rides without power still get heart-rate-based training load, plus flyover videos and posters.
